Dialysis is only doing about 30% of normal kidney function. Living without kidneys is very hard on the body, especially on the cardiovascular system. The heart has to pump not just the blood but also all the extra fluids. Which puts an extreme amount of stress on it. It also makes breathing harder, sometimes very difficult. The constant high levels of toxins in the body makes everyday life very challenging.

Everyday in the United States 17 people on dialysis die.
Thats 119 people a week,
510 people a month,
6,205 people a year.
That’s more than the living donor donations in this country.
